June Musings

I had something drafted up before, but wow, it was so boring.

I’m going to be honest and say I have nothing to write about for June. Apart from nursing dry skin due to crazy cold and dry Sydney, working and doing a range of things at work from posters to signage to admin to architectural drawings, there’s not much. I visited another dentist since my usual one moved 1.5 hours away from me (well it’s more like an hour, but if you think of the return trip, that’s very far) and must congratulate my “new” dentist for giving me the most painful scale and clean I have ever experienced in my life. Thanks for only attacking my gums! I’ve never tried pressing a tissue against my gums to have the tissue turn pink! I won’t be going to see you ever again.

My first month ever of a monthly salary seemed a good idea until the end of financial year sales kicked in and left me wondering where my money went. I actually didn’t spend all that much, but when you get your monthly salary in one go, it just seems natural to tuck away all you need into your savings, super or wherever. By the time you actually need money, you realise you can’t take it out of your savings (at least I can’t, it means I get zero interest, so I leave it there). Next month I will do better and hopefully leave more behind in a free flowing account so I won’t be strapped for cash.

After cutting my hair short twice in a row I think it’s about time I start growing out my hair since it will be cold. I have yet to make an appointment at the hairdresser’s (will do so when I get paid next month – er – week OTL), and I have less than 3 months to exercise and work out because I am probably going to attend a wedding and I don’t want to look so… hmm. Yes, hmm. If you count hmm as an adjective. You know, when people describe others as “hmm” – that kind of hmm.

Don’t you hate it when the weather’s cold and you’re not in the mood to move around and just stay warm?? Well, I may have to find something I can do during the colder months to do which will help me slim down. Fast.

I will talk about this Stella McCartney Falabella Fold Over Tote some time later in July. So far I’ve only used it twice, but I can’t stop touching it. It’s a bit like, “I can’t believe it’s not leather!”. It is this gorgeous primary blue colour that I have been really digging lately, which ends the streak of black bags I have been buying for the past 2 years or so.

There is no photo of the month for this month. I’ve been doing my makeup differently for the past week, but unfortunately it looks like nothing in photos. All I did was change my liquid liner to be a super thick cat eye, and the funny thing is that it has stopped smudging since. More liner = less smudging, less eyeliner = more smudging. So much logic :\

See how to get the cat eye look from this video – it worked for me, and it’s easy with a liquid liner such as the Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner. That is my holy grail so far, so easy to control and has not failed me.

I’ve been watching a few episodes of KBS’s Love & War 2. It’s kind of interesting in some episodes to see how dysfunctional characteristics occur as a result of something that has happened. A bit of a put down if you’re depressed, but still interesting. I’m also missing my weekly dose of Witch’s Romance as that ended 2 weeks prior. High School King of Savvy has been alright so far, and Trot Lovers is promising. Still, the best thing at the moment is You’re all surrounded! which is a bit of a surprise (I think so, anyway).

This is a short and sweet post! Keep warm everyone and take in more vitamin C. Do exercise and keep yourself influenza free!

Remember to tune in every Friday around 10AM AEST for my weekly post.
